I was wanting to know if anyone has built any of their kits yet. There were a lot of them bought, but I have not seen any complete rifles yet.

Nice! I built one with a US made barrel and it shoots good. I didn't like the way he barrel flexed when pressing on the parts. I still have two barrels and two receivers, just need a couple of kits.

I haven't gotten to my Egyptian yet. I didn't even realize it was Egyptian until just recently when I noticed the writing on the trunnion. I figured it was just another Romanian. The two are hard to tell apart.

Todd is right on the builder, his work looked nice. Anyway, just waiting on a couple of items to ship from copes that we ordered in Early December... Only hold up on the rifles, The important items are secured, receivers, kits and barrels... I would like to have more magazines...

For those who need barrels I contacted ESS solutions and barrels can be ordered directly from them. At $42 each it is a good deal but there is a mininum of 10 barrels per order.

how do you guys get rust off of your receivers? i got some nodak spuds and theres quite a bit of rust "bloom" on them. what do yall use? and what do you use to oil them with afterwards? anyone have a beadblaster i can borrow? lol

That pink gel always worked great, trade name was NAVAL JELLY. O'Reillys and others carry it in a small plastic jar.


Careful, it's Phosphoric Acid.

Word on the street is it'll take your bluing off as well.

Yep, used it and Liquid Fire (Sulphuric) to strip the blueing off and weather a milled MAK-90
