Family member helped himself to my father’s Glock 42 from dresser drawer. Both parents very sick. Concerned grandson came to visit and helped himself to Glock 42 in drawer with laser. Question is, dad’s memory is ailing. Looking for paperwork for serial #. Unable to locate so far. He bought it new from cabelas. Would they have a database from a few years of the purchase with that info????

I would imagine a chain like Cabela's would have their records in order, but they probably won't give them to you. If your father presented himself with ID and the original receipt, they might give it to him, but if he's not in condition to get out and about and you're trying to run it down for him, I think you'll hit a roadblock. You'll likely have to file the police report, and the officer/detective assigned to the case will have to request it from them.

Try to locate the factory Glock box that it came in, it will have a sticker with serial number on it. Next step would be a police report and have them follow up with the original place of purchase a receipt would help greatly.

    That’s an upsetting situation.

Did. Denied, live out of state.
BS, Enlighten turdhead that he's now in possession of a stolen firearm and
2, He crossed the state line with a stolen firearm.
    3. Your about to report it as stolen so it can be put in the national database.
4, He can expect a visit from the local law and possibly ABC agency.
5, Tell them no whining and sniveling since
    1. He stole the Glock to begin with
    2. You can't be weak, You have no choice but to legally break it off in his diddy
