Today has an exhausting day, but Mrs Parallel seems to have come through her surgery VERY well. She isn't out of the woods yet but the prognosis is VERY good. I'll post more when I can think straight.

Thank you all for your kind words and continued thoughts and prayers. As of 6:45PM Mrs Parallel is home. I was hoping for a good outcome to all of this but thus far I never would have dared dream it would be this good.

Her hysterectomy surgery was able to be done laparoscopic and robot assisted, which was not expected as Mrs. parallel has never given birth and the thought was that her vaginal canal wouldn't be large enough to allow her uterus to be removed in one piece. Typically the uterus would be cut into smaller pieces to remove it if needed, but with the presence of cancerous cells, this is not an option. I tried to tell the Doc that I had "taken care of" resizing that particular piece of her anatomy... LOL. :D

Anyway, the Doc was confident enough that the cancer hadn't spread that he decided NOT to take lymph nodes to check. We will get the pathology report back within a week and that will decide if shes clear. I suspect that she'll need to have multiple check ups each year now until it's reasonably assured that it hadn't spread. All in all... we remain blessed.

    Kennah!
I am so happy for her.
Your relief must be palpable and I am glad you are both through this event.
All hopes that prognoses from here on are favorable.

    :)

Thanks again y'all. Today was a milestone of sorts as she actually left the house to go next door to the annual crawfish boil our neighbor puts on each Good Friday. It was good to see her smiling again.
