February 2016 3-Gun in Poplarville

This Sunday, the best of the best will once again meet on the field of battle to find out who will be Number One! Oh, yeah. There's also a football game later in the day...

This Sunday, February 7, the Poplarville club will hold the monthly 3-gun match at the range in Poplarville. Three guns, in your hands, in the woods of South Mississippi. Doesn't that sound better that just watching some boring sporting contest on TV? We don't need crazy commercials to get people to come watch us. We're just that much fun!

I can't make this one, I finally got a diagnoses on my knee, torn meniscus

Bring this many rounds and you won't run out:

Pistol: 150 (will probably shoot 75)
Rifle: 150 (will probably shoot 75-100)
Shotgun: 100 birdshot (will probably shoot 50-75)
Shotgun: 10 slugs (will probably shoot 2-3, but could be as high as 5)

This assumes you hit most everything you are shooting at and have no reshoots. But neither of those ever seem to work out, so bring the recommended amount.

Match is mostly set up. Have to do a few things in the am. A sling may be helpful on your rifle. two 2gun stages, two 3gun stages.

Hi. I am a competent marksman with training in the South African Army. I am very interested but have never tried 3-Gun. Are these matches open to new people?

Yes, this is typical for the round count. If you run out, you'll never forgive yourself. But someone will always give you enough to finish!
