President Obama made waves when he told American small businesses that if they had a successful business, they didn't build that. Our answer to that is the Freedom Gunworks "Presidential Package". We will be offering a short block kit for all those mechanically inclined folks that want to finish assemble their own guns. To assist customers in doing this, we will provide a step by step DVD on installing/fitting the small parts and doing the blending work to finish off the package. Upon completion of your short block kit, you can return the project to us with a check for $200 + return shipping and we'll go over the gun for you and Cerakote the gun black.

    You get:
Hand lapped slide to frame fit
Match grade barrel fitting with the barrel foot machine cut to tightest tolerances and the barrel finish chambered
The proper link and link pin
    Slide stop
Tri-topped slide with FGW lightening cuts, front and rear serrations, front dovetail and rear Bomar cut with elevation screw drilled and tapped

You'll need to purchase a "completion kit" to finish the gun along with sights, a guide rod, reverse plug, and recoil spring. You can purchase the completion kit from Shooters Connection or we can supply that with the short block kit. There are a couple options in completion kits. One is to get the STI completion kit for $300 and add the missing parts mentioned above or you can buy the premium kit for us with the parts we use in our custom builds.

The premium kit includes some component upgrades like an Aftec extractor, Extreme trigger kit, Ice Magwell, Bomar style rear sight, DP fiber optic front sight, DP extended firing pin, enhanced sear spring, Wilson hi-ride ambi safety, and everything else you need to complete the gun and the total cost for it is $600.00.

    Tools needed will be:
    A small bench vise
A set of needle files ($4 from Harbor Freight) http://www.harborfre...e-set-4614.html
A 2 faced hammer with soft face and brass face (http://www.brownells...-prod12587.aspx)
    A flat head screw driver
A dremel tool with 120 grit sanding drums
    A flat file ($2 Harbor Freight) http://www.harborfre...file-96626.html
    A punch set ($7 Harbor Freight) http://www.harborfre...-set-93111.html

We want to make this package something you can do sitting at your dining room table. Parts fitting will be minor, we're going to do the bulk of the work for you. Most of these tools you probably already have. With the quality fire control components in our premium completion kit you should be able to achieve a sub 3lb trigger pull with ease. The DVD is going to walk you through each step of the process. The joy in being able to tell the RO who asks who built your gun at "unload and show clear" will be priceless!

    Pricing
6" Limited gun $1600 (short wide frame, classic slide)
5" Limited gun $1500 (short wide frame or narrow frame, classic slide)
5" Limited gun $1600 (full dust cover, unique slide)
5" Open gun $1800 (includes flat topped slide and compensator)

Here's a picture of one we just did today. In the very near future, we plan to have these in stock on the shelf available for immediate delivery. This particular gun is a 5" 9mm we did with the short narrow frame and classic slide. We'll stock these in multiple calibers based upon popularity.

If you bought the 6" short block kit and the premium completion kit, you'd have $2200 in the parts. If you send it back to us for inspection and black cerakote add another $200. That's a total of $2400 in the gun and you can say "yes, I DID build this!!!".

If anyone is interested, Bobby is in Thibodaux this weekend for the Gator Classic/Area 4 match. You can see this, lots of his other work, and even talk to him face to face.
