I just bought it from a friend in dire need of money. I dont know the year but it is a PSE Stato-Flite Express. Camo came with 3 arrows with broadheads on them and a semi nice case. It has sights already on it and an arrow rest. I got the package at $40 from him. Is this a good first bow? I know nothing of it at all. I am also wondering how to lower the draw weight because he has it set over 75 pounds and this just seems a little extreme. Should I take it somewhere to get it tuned or do it myself? I have a buddy that is going to take me out tomorrow and teach me how to properly shoot and all of that good stuff. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

take it over to Bowie's, at least that's what my buddy told me when he offered his bow to me (which I will pick up this weekend). You'll also need a good release, it'll cost more than you paid for the bow lol

LOL Forgot to mention one came with the bow. I figured it was a decent deal.

$40 is not a bad investment to see whether or not you will enjoy archery. As mentioned earlier, bring it to Bowies that way they can size you up to it. I'm sure your draw length is not the same as your friends.

It looks like a 200 - 250 fps bow so it's fast enough to kill a deer. Just get out there and shoot. If you want I can dust of my bow and meet you out at Highland Rd Park or Waddill and just shoot.

That's the one right there. I have a buddy that is teaching me some stuff tomorrow but after that I am sure I would enjoy getting out to shoot and get some different pointers from a different person. Out of curiosity how much does Bowie charge for that service?
