Preface: I'm no socialist, and I abhor the healthcare takeover, but this is pretty good food for thought. We haven't been truly "free" for a very long time, when will the public draw the line?

BR Water Company isn't owned by the city.

This was obviously written by a lib- because only a lib would believe the gov't was meant to "own" anything.

Of course it was written by a lib...

Although, none of the things mentioned concerned "ownership," just regulation. One cannot "own" medicine or healthcare, as it's a service -- the application of the provider's knowledge in affecting another's life.

The difference is, of course, that the government is trying to get you to pay for someone else's healthcare... (which you already do, thanks to medicare/aid)... whereas every other example here is a commercially produced but governmentally regulated product.

Remember that government cannot 'produce' anything (much like investment bankers, but that's another story).

This must be a lib writing. In typical liberal fashion he's generalizing and drawing conclusions from those generalizations.

Most sensible people don't think gov't can't do anything right. Gov't can provide basic oversight in certain areas to protect people. However, as a gov't becomes larger and larger, it becomes more and more inefficient. A large centralized gov't can amount to no good.

    Well...yeah. WE know that.

But liberals like this person really believe that all services are magically funded by "Government Money"- as if the gov't "owns" the money and provides these services to us- and we should all just shut up and be grateful for the mercy that "Massa Gov" throws our way.

Remember the recent "shocking" revelation that nearly half (around 47%) of Americans don't pay income tax? I personally do not know anyone paying taxes who's currently pleased with how their money is being spent.
Morons like this person probably couldn't care less....

Just more solid evidence that liberalism is a mental disorder.
