I see some reports saying they were merely trying to beat the Fee increase as of July 1st?

and others saying they were getting Worker Visa's...

I sure hope this is all a misunderstanding.

    Ok here we go.
Those passports were stamped at the Mexican Consulate office along with giving each an I 94 card.

No one there will get a SS card that day.

You must be in country for 3 days before you can apply.

Within a week they will be issued a SS number which is required for payroll.
And also begins a record of earnings so income taxes can be paid.
In 3-4 weeks the actual SS card will be issued.

Their employer paid hefty fees to get them consulate apts and must reimburse them for travel expenses incurred by the workers who paid for their bus ride.

Legal migrant workers are not cheap by any means.

If they were illegals they would have stopped in Houston for 12 hours and gotten any documentation they requested for a couple hundred bucks.

So that's why they had Mexico Passports?

    Yes
Because they were issued in Mexico

When you ask a man if he can speak English and he struggles to respond no, then proceed question him about where he is from, where he got his passport and what he I'd doing here you most likely will not get any correct information.

*wipes brow* .... man I'm glad you squashed all that.

Not as if big gov isn't doing all they can now to aid Illegals,
this would have been over the top.

Still sounds super fishy and sadly not surprising or out of the character of
this administration when it comes to illegals.

No ****, they do all they can to bring along illegals but try to get some help for those coming here legally, no way in Hell.

I know several who have go a through the proper channels and spent thousands of dollars over the past 15 years trying to get dual residency only to be greeted by more fees and more "necessary" paperwork.
