Can't conceal a rifle well, but it was spurred by a thought, "What is the most effective caliber for putting men down? 762 NATO. Which one works every time, without fail, 762 NATO. Can it reach out to a thous- YES. Look no further. Can you also hunt- wait what CAN'T you hunt with it? Guides in Africa have killed elephants with it by the thousands.

im like this with my handguns, lord help me when i finally get into rifles and shotguns. Then i find myself thinking about my unarmed friends in case of hurricane, SHTF, zombies, w/e situation you will probably never encounter as a normal person that youd want to have some one you trust with a gun. This ALSO means holsters and mags, slings, mag pouches and all that jazz.

I have thought about getting one of these in 40mm as a tribute to my great-granddad. I have a shell (inert of course) that he brought back from WWII.

Trouble is the ones you can acquire from the surplus market are usually of Prohibition-era manufacture, and are full auto. Stranger still is that you can register one with the ATF as a "machine gun", but you cannot have an RPG-7 so easily......

Pretty much. Granddad was supposed to take me, but his son (my uncle) is mildly mentally retarded. He takes precedence, ad I wouldn't have it any other way. I don't follow the ideology, Vanilla, but hey, it was what lead me to my user. No caliber is a truly reliable to defeat a threat in the exact manner each time, but 762 works quite well.
