Was curious if anyone has anything to say about either of these tools. I've always had good luck with the Gerber/Leatherman product lines.

Thought it was kinda cool and thinking of putting some of these together as Christmas gifts for the servicemen and gun-addicts in our family.

Props to 91Foxtrot for bringin' out the MUT.

The last google link posted in the OP has em' between $60-80 not including shipping.

Gerber may even have additional "add-on" parts for this tool. Thought I saw something for a different sight tool you could add.

I don't have one of the gerber's, but I have the Leatherman Mut and it is very handy. I don't always have time to scrounge around for a tool, and I've found that the Mut and my regular issue multi-tool can normally fix most problems we see. They are amazing little tools, I'm sure the Gerber is just as good.

Sweet!! I saw this tool on a guys table at the range and was wondering if it was just an ordinary Leatherman...left before i could ask.

Found a few places that looked to have them at a reasonable price (below).

This may turn into a toss-up between the two. Thanks for the info!

    Definitely the MUT.

How many times do you clean your gun in the field. I mean, I actually never clean mine, but I would take a bolt over-ride tool over a cleaning tool. Anything that will keep my gun functioning gets my vote.

And if I did clean, I wouldn't be scraping anything.

I bought a MUT a month or so ago, it's been great, well designed and built. And I usually prefer Ferber or LM.

    Just my 2c

The other one that is nice is:
