Yeah, don't dump it in a ditch. Bring it to me, I'll dispose of it properly and return your container.

Just curious, how do you dispose of it?

@OP, this sounds like the best option. Next best option be calling your local fire department and ask how they recommend you to dispose of it. After that, maybe call a local mom-n-pop auto shop and see if they have any recommendations. Else, burn it in a fire pit, slowly and safelt.

I like to drain my generator gas yearly, use the old gas at the burn pile when needed.

I keep my generator gas, ethanol free, in tightly sealed steel cans, either Wavian Nato type or Justrite saftey cans, treated with stabilizer and a small shot of two cycle oil about 500:1 dilution. Come summer I use it in my big Scag riding mower. The mower is a 2006 model and never any engine problems. This way I keep gas rotated. Late summer to early winter depending up storms predicted I refill the cans.

Most boat repair shops will dispose of you bad gas, might ge a per gallon charge, but they will take it,they pump out old gas in boats constantly.

Most mechanic shops and oil change shops have a storage tank in back that some company empties for them. If you know or do business with any you can ask.
