Got my C&R today!

I told my daughter, in the midst of rush at LSU, who was suitably unimpressed. I said, "How many other fathers of girls do you know who have a CCW and C&R?" She replied "None of the normal ones." What you gonna do?

It's over 100 years old. The Swiss modified their 1896 Mannlicher straight-pull rifles to meet contemporary (1911) requirements by grafting a pistol-grip onto the stock and upgrading the sights (I believe). I bought one, and it's a beauty. The machine-work is amazing.

That's a beautiful rifle. I'm more of a pistol guy and have been looking at some Webley Mk IV's (if I can find some ammo).
