Does anyone else notice that every time the media reports on the story of the Grandmother and the tragic death of her three year old grandson with the gun under the pillow, that the story written, or spoken is the same? "The gun under a pillow discharged killing the child". Not Grandma accidentally discharged a gun, or the child did. Someone had to do it, it didn't discharge itself.
Any chance the media gets to makes guns look bad and evil they jump all over it. Nothing about a irresponsible gun owner causing this.

Absolutely right. No "journalist" in MSM passes up a good opportunity to push an agenda. "Never let a tragedy go to waste"

If u listened to the reports u would have been informed that no one knows the answer. She has not spoken at all and has refused any statement. She has done nothing period.

But it is disingenuous to imply the firearm discharged all by itself. I don't know what the ratio is between accidental discharge caused by user vs firearm malfunction, but I would wager accidental discharges are +90% caused by user error and not mechanical malfunction. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your statement?

I heard the part about the grandmother being arrested. She is "alleged" to be the one. The media uses the word all the time. Why not say "Grandmother is alleged to have accidentally discharged a gun"? See Noah Websters definition below.

    Simple Definition of alleged.

: accused of having done something wrong or illegal but not yet proven guilty

: said to have happened but not yet proven

She's in the hospital, guess she's trying to push the insanity case. But they are charging her for child neglect, 2nd degree murder, and negligent homicide
