O yea I've probably introduced my self before but that was a long time ago; I'll introduce myself again living in Baton Rouge and love the outdoor I hunt anything in season, duck hunt n Jennings to catahoula and just bow hunt my other addiction. Fishing is my other off time from hunting or shooting.

if you live closer to central or north baton rouge, id go to the baker range. If i have my druthers, ill go there over precision any day. But that is for personal reasons that i will not bring up here.

I live in Baton Rouge and make the drive to Baker if I feel like shooting indoors. Mostly due to the fact that I am able to shoot whatever I want at Baker. Last time I was in Precision there were some caliber restrictions on the rifle range (I think because of the type of backstop they have-correct me if I am wrong).

Precision changed the caliber policy about a year ago.
The new cut off caliber is .300 Win Mag

Outside ranges are Sherburn, Hunter's Run, and Palo Alto
Sherburn is public, the other 2 are member only

In the rifle tunnel, you cannot use steel core, armor penetrating (green tip) ammo as well as incendiary or tracer ammo at Precision if those are the restrictions you were speaking about.

That might be a good idea. :D
A range in Dallas burned to the ground
because some goof was using tracers.

I'm in BR and I prefer to make the drive to Sherburne. I'm not a big fan of indoor shooting. Most times I go out to Sherburne there isn't anyone else there so it's almost like having your own range. When deer season kicks up so does the range use. They have a separate handgun, rifle and skeet range. I believe there is work being done on the rifle range right now though. Oh, and the best part is it's free! They have never charged $15 per hour for the rifle range ? Unless Im special ?

$5 to $10 for the whole day.............?? Still worth the 2 hours it saves me living in Denham.
