I don't know if there's any Harley experts on board or not, but I recently bought a 2001 deuce and I found a set of 06+ street bob wheels I would like to have on my fxstdi. I'm pretty sure I will need bearing spacers, atleast on the rear. Everything I've read has been very contradicting. At this point I'm not even sure the front will fit at all. If anyone has any input I would appreciate it. Or if someone could point in the direction of an affordable 17inch wire wheel that will fit the rear, that would work too.

I used to know when the axle sizes changed but have lost the document I put together.
Harley went from 3/4 inch axles to a mixture of 3/4 inch and 1 inch axles around 2006 depending on the model. Then in 2007 they went to 25 mm axles. The bearings are definitely different. I would say that your bike has 3/4 inch axles and the wheels are 25 mm bearing wheels although I quit keeping up with axle size changes in about 2010.
