Help ID/Date Old Revolvers

Inherited these when my grandfather passed last year. He was 97. These were his dad's guns. Pretty sure they shoot .38 S&W, because he had an old box of ammo with them and the cartridges do fit the cylinder. No markings on guns except the serial number on bottom of grip and the other on trigger guard. Just trying to find out the model and date these were made. Any ideas?

It's an old Smith Wesson double action. If you head over to the S&W forum ( https://smith-wessonforum.com/forum), those guys will give you everything you need when it comes to smith revolvers. But I sure they have a few experts here also.
