I was going to say exactly what Candyman thinks....First thought on the shorter one was K98 till I saw the sling ring--its on the bottom not on the side like on a K98. the GEW98 stock has to be one of the longest wooden stocks made and are beautiful after refinishing them..

Here is a pic of the Gew98 but stock cartouches, before and after clean up.

    I was wrong on the shorter stock. It's not a VZ24, it's a Yogo stock for a M24 or M24/47.
The Vz24 only has one band spring that holds the front band in place.

    Here is a Yugo M24/47.

Now the K98 also has only one band spring but it's not like the Vz24. The K98 band spring goes from the frpnt band to the rear band to hold them both in place.

Sorry I haven't responded I kind of forgot about the post and I was never notified that there was a reply. With all that said is there a market for these stocks?

Yes there is a market. Gew98 stocks will sell from $40 to $120, depending on condition and type of wood. Walnut stocks go for more then Beech stocks and yours is Beech. It appeares that there is rust on the buttplate and the wood in that area looks a little rough. So I would say that it's worth $40 to $60.

There is not that much of a demand for M24 and M24/47 stocks. they sell from $25 to $50.
