I have searched the net several times in the last few days looking at barrel shrouds for my 870. Unfortunately, my "google-fu" isn't exactly a black belt standard.
What I'm looking to know is if anyone here knows of a shroud that comes with a picatinny rail?
I've found several with ghost rings, tri-dots, etc., but none with a picatinny rail. I know they make plenty of fore grips with a railing system.
But does anyone know of a shroud? Do they even make them? Is there a reason if they don't?

    Thanks.

I'm looking to turn my 870 into an HD project, but I want to be able to throw the original hardware back on with no harm done. I was trying to find a clamp on shroud with a picatinny to mount a red dot without having to tap or mark the shotgun in any permanent way.
Do you know of any other options?

mine is not permanent. it uses the pins that hold in your trigger mechanism for the side saddle and rail, they give you some that are threaded internally. and give you screws that screw into them. less than ten minutes it can be transferred back. the shroud is just held on by a clamp i guess you would call it or a pinch bolt.
