Hi I'm Mike and I live in a small but spread out community called Weldon, in Claiborne Parish. That's very north central LA. I'm a spit from Corney Lake and a short drive from Lake D'Arbonne. Grew up in Maryland, 30 years and spent 16 years in California. I've spent time in Australia too but have never felt more at home then I do with the people of this great state I call home now. I help out on an ammo finding site that's not a forum but gets many referal links from forums all over the country but none were in Louisiana so I did a search for LA forums and here I am. Nice to meet all of you.

You don't hear much about Claiborne Parish, but they do have some decent deer up thar.

    Welcome Sir!
You are correct sir the deer here are decent and plentiful. I walk to my deer stand through hay fields and see many snorting and hightailin' it away. At night there's as many as 30 in one field. When I was locking the chickens up for the night tonight I could see 6 or 7 just about 200 yards from me in the back feild. Two spotted fawns with them too.
