Folks,
I'm not much more than a hobbyist shooter, but I'd like to shoot competitively with my revolver when I can find money and time. I can't shoot a .357 in my backyard though...
I've been talking it over with my stepdad and he's urging me to get into archery. I'm an ok shot with a pistol and I'd like a new challenge.
I'm not looking to spend too much on the front end to get into archery, but, considering that I will not be hunting, what make/model bow would you prefer/suggest for a beginner for range/competitive use? The Martin Jaguar Take-Down and the Vista Sage 62" Take-Down from Cabela's caught my interest. I'm drawn more to the Vista for nothing more than aesthetic reasons. I know nothing about the sport, but I'm looking for some input here...
I'm looking at heading over there this Sunday to pick one up... with a budget to consider... looking for bow, quiver, and arrows for about $250 all-in before tax.
What do you all think?
