How do you carry in your vehicle?

With the exception of those that will say the best place to put a firearm is on your person (with good reason), where or how do you carry your defense firearm in your vehicle?

When I carry when off of the interstate it is in my lap usually with a t-shirt on top of it, When on the interstate it is in my door.

I have a paddle holster rigged to the door pocket of my drivers door. I can just reach down and immediately have it in my hand. Only problem with that is it's clearly visible when I open the door. Been meaning to rig up a flap to cover it but haven't gotten around to that.

I won't say exactly where I keep my "vehicle" pistol, but let's just say it is hiding in plain sight in a holster ready to be deployed at any moment!
