I would like to introduce a web service I use often at work which is provided free of charge by the State of Louisiana's Department of Natural Resources via your tax dollars.
SONRIS - http://sonris-www.dnr.state.la.us/www_root/sonris_portal_1.htm
It's a GIS mapping system with high quality imagery from 2004 for the entire state and 2005 imagery for the coastal area. Use the layers to turn on and off info you may require such as Township/Range/Sections for leases, roads, land claimed as state lands, etc.
Image color is mostly red due to it being made from infrared sat imagery. I find the image resolution to be way better than most of the Google Earth coverage and like I said - It's free.
Here's an scaled down view of a small portion located on the ne side of Marsh Island.
