I would like to have a simple item printed....
A sunshade for my phone to use on the motorcycle.
I found a downloadable file that I like, and would probably work once it is customized for my phone.

Let me know if you are able & willing, I'll get you some details!

I don't know if it's a thing everywhere, but in BR the main library has a 3D printer that folks can use. Maybe one of your libraries has one, if you strike out here.

Come to think of it....I do seem to recall something about that posted by the local library a few years back. Wonder if they still have it?

I've never delved into this, wonder how difficult it is to manipulate the file parameters?

    Something to check on........

There is a Zip file on the page that you linked. That Zip file has two STL files and one SCAD file. The two STL files are not easily customizable other than through scaling the model up or down. The SCAD file should be relatively easily customizable. If you have never used SCAD before, this YouTube video gives a very simple explanation: . Also, OpenSCAD can be downloaded from https://openscad.org/downloads.html. Once you modify the SCAD file to match your phone, you export the model as an STL file and then use a slicer program like Ultimaker Cura to create a file that tells the 3D printer how to print the item. Find out from the library what type of printer they have so that you can match the parameters of that printer when you slice the model. Then all you have to do is find out from the library what type of memory card or other input the 3D printer takes. I'm sure the library personnel will be happy to help. Good luck!!

Screen shot from OpenSCAD of the phone shade model:

Just enter the parameters for the size of your phone.
