I am getting my first I phone this week. What is the best case to get for it? I prefer something that will go onto my belt.

I got the OtterBox Defender. It is well armored, VERY shock resistant and water resistant and comes with a clip caddy that doubles as a stand. From MY research, this is the best protection you can get! It's not TOO bulky either.

I have a Lifeproof case for my 4S. I like it better than the otterboxes I had on my last two iPhones.

The lifeproof case is pricey, but the best on the market. Co worker has one that he dropped in a sink filled with water with the video camera running. Not a drop of water got in the case.

I will make you a deal on my otterbox defender when my commuter comes in. Black plastic, blue rubber.
I don't use a belt clip and keep the phone in my pocket. The 4s defender is not as pocket friendly as my 3s defender was, so I am changing.

It won't go onto your belt I don't believe, but the Magpul case is the one I would get. Very slim and solid. I prefer it over the Otterbox iPhone cases I have seen. For the Droid, Otterbox rocks. I find it bulky and awkward with the iPhone.

FWIW, don't be a penny-pincher. Spend the $$ to get the warranty on the phone. You can still mess them up even in a case.
