I picked up a marlin 336 in .35 Remington need a gun smith no front sight

I recently acquired a marlin 336 in .35 rem for a fairly cheap price. The barrel was cut down and the magazine tube modified so the band that holds the mag tube in place would fit around the barrel and mag tube. It doesnt have a front sight due the barrel being cut down and I want to add one. I'm pretty handy with a gun and do a little here and there I was going to do this myself. But the tool I needed is discontinued and no longer in production. If anyone has a gun smith they would recommend that would be great I'd really like to hunt with this rifle this year. And I prefer using iron sights it's really thick in the area I hunt. Anybody with info or who they would recommend please send me their contact info thanks. I'm located in Slidell, Louisiana.
