Top state trooper busted doing 90+ on the Basin Bridge; not given a ticket

State Police Col. Lamar Davis got pulled over for doing at least 90 mph on the Basin Bridge last week. He was allowed to leave with a warning and no ticket.

Several years ago I was traveling East on I-10 between Lake Charles and Lafayette, doing about 75-80 when 4 Highway Patrol cars passed me like I was standing still!!! Before you come to the defense of these officers because they might be responding to something, realize that I said Highway Patrol, not LSP. These officers were a long way from home as they all had Mississippi plates on them.

Well um, actually President Eisenhower pushed for the Interstate system because he was on a Transcendental trip from San Fransisco to Washington DC in 1919. It took 56 days! In many places there were no roads.
So when he seen the Autobahn after the war, it reinforced the need for the US Interstate system. But one main reason was to transport the military across country. The original design had 5 straight miles after so many miles for airplanes to land in an emergency or war.
If bootyjudge gets his way it will be use for pride parades.

Extensive training???? Hell, only 20 states require more then a HS diploma to become a cop, and the vast majority don't even know the laws they are supposed to be enforcing. How are they even qualified to carry a gun, let alone drive a car at high speed?
