It's about $40 per mag, which is common for most firearms. These particular magazines are not expensive. Factory Glock magazines are relatively cheap. Will the aftermarket magazine release chew up factory magazines? Over time, yes. It shouldn't be an issue if you ditch your factory magazines for Shield S15 magazines. S15 mags have proven to be fairly reliable. Like all magazines, they are consumables. Looks like a good deal. They also have a five pack right now for $185, which comes out to about $37 per magazine.

Going by Lanbo's Armory prices, right now:
Glock 43X/48 Magazines are $19.39/ea (but have been out of stock)
Shield Arms S15 Magazines are $37.99/ea (out of stock)
CZ P10C Magazines are $31.62/ea (out of stock)
M&P 17 Rd Magazines are $33.54 (out of stock)
HK VP9 17 Rd Magazines are $33.91 (in stock)

Most magazines are in the $30-40 range. These S15 magazines are not unreasonable. After all, you are gaining 5 more rounds, so it's again not unreasonable for larger capacity magazines to cost more.

Just an FYI, this is the Hot Deals section and the OP posted a deal. This isn't where we argue about if you should use aftermarket magazines or not.
