This is my issue, I have no swivel stud on my AR handguard. Should i just drill a hole in my hand guard and install a stud? I want to install a bipod but i dont want a clamp on style. Thanks in advance!

thats what I just did. you can do 1 of 2 things. You can get a special swivel stud that has a nut on the inside of the FF tube, or you can mark it, drill it and tap it for a 10-32 machine screw and do without the nut on the inside. I bought a harris #5 adapter, and just used the threaded stud, but I'm sure you can find an uncle mikes threaded stud at a sporting goods store, or something similar that will work.

If your handguard is made of anything, other than steel, I suggest you use the backer nut. There's not much material there and those are awful fine threads for aluminum.
