Interesting mag

I was repacking one of my cases of mags as the original trunk has become unusable.

and I came across a mag that I must of missed before.

It appears to be a 30 round 7.62x39 AK mag, but is Al, you can see it side by side with a Fleur de lee marked mag (Also somewhat rare IIRC) for dimention differences.

I just thought it was interesting.

Back to the original question, if you look at the spine or near the spine there should be the Izzy arsenal mark.

on the spine:

"CB" inside a diamond

"ER" inside a 'pill like' elongated circle

and a triangle at an odd angle



"B"

"O" (incomplete)

and a backwards "N" On the other side.

Russian proof marks, I have a 40rd Russian mag that has some of those same marks. I believe the Russians put more proof marks on their mags than anyone.

THe one on the far right in the second/third pic with the 'normal mags' is different where the mag enters the reciever.



Anyone got a source for types, scarcity and value?

Like I said in post #4, the fleur de lis mag is Bosnian. They're kinda rare. They had a guy on one of the AK forums asking $70 a piece shipped, for 6 that he had. That was a good price.
IIRC, I saw somebody asking $150 a good while back. I think that was high.
$100 might be a fairer price for a collector.
A bit rich for my blood, but like they say, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
