    I'm reading a very nice book about architecture in the Faubourg Treme and Bayou Road.

    It so happens that the land Claude Treme owned is only 1/4 of what the Treme neighborhood is now. And, he only owned it for 10 years.

    What's more interesting, is that he served time in jail behind the Cabildo for murdering a slave.

    That's the first time I've heard that.
