They're a big hassle as compared to a stamped receiver. You either have to buy a new milled receiver for $400-500 or get some repair channels and weld the remains of the receiver back together. Not for the amateur builder for sure. #1bambam has done it or at least has the parts to do it. Hopefully he will respond to the thread. Someone had a photo log of ones they had done. I'm looking for it now.

you can also use a stamped receiver and grind down the trunion stubs. you have to drill and tap of course.

I have done a few.It takes a good welder and a lot of grinding but in the end a milled Yugo UF is sweet.

That's the kit we're talking about in the first post.

I forgot about grinding down the trunnions. Does anyone know where the thread is of the member who welded up some repair channels? I can't find it.
