Also, some of you may not care, but Morello and his buddies in Rage Against the Machine were supporters in the free Leonard Peltier movement. Good old Leonard killed 2 federal agents back in the 70's in a shootout. If you are old enough to remember their video for "Freedom", you will remember what I am talking about.

Bands should play music, not support cop killers.

He became a Marxist when he was at Harvard University (he graduated with honours in 1986 with a degree in political science)

    Courtesy of Salon.com

He quoted many times that he was the only anarchist in a conservative highschool, and he continued that belief in college.

When he said Marxist, he may have generally meant anti-capitalism. However socialism, marxism, communism, anarchism, anarcho-syndicalism, libertarian socialism, etc, each differer. He is a big fan of Chomsky, who I like to read, and he is an libertarian socialist. So, who knows. I just know many times he showed anarchist beliefs.

Its not as clear as you make it. FBI agents were in unmarked vehicles and they acted in self defense. Any of us would do the same thing.

I guess I should clarify my statement.

I am a former LEO so I do not in any manner shape or form condone the killing of ANY law enforcement officer. However, just because someone is an LEO,
that doesn't give them Carte Blanche to whatever they please.

In the Leonard Peltier case, there is certainly some doubt as to the actual
facts of the incident. Only people who know the truth are Leonard and God.

And you're right that entertainer's should entertain, and keep their political
views (which are usually 180 degrees counter to my own) to themselves.

Sometimes its hard to enjoy their entertainment, when you know what kind
    of person they really are.

Lol, almost every Rage song is politically motivated. I like it that way, songs actually have meaning instead of the **** we have on modern stations.

That website just sounds super tin foily, just like your hat. I would love to meet you in person to see if you are really as paranoid as your posts make you seem.

You can say that a lot of most artist, however these guys donate most of their money to "revolutionaries" around the world, fun political movements in the US, give free shows, etc. So, at least they are trying to walk the walk as well.

Making and selling music is perfectly compatible with socialism/communism/marxism, etc.

I'm free for coffee and week day after 5. Not paranoid, just I do not accept the "official" version of pretty much anything when it comes to the State ;).

It's all good. I enjoy hearing other points of view, but be prepared for mine after you make yours.
