Time of the year to put a few fillets in the freezer. Got about 3 dozen jug lines that I ran over the long weekend.

Diversion canal \ Amite River area. The big fish was caught with deer heart. I was also using hot dogs mixed with jello.

Honestly, this time of year, I don't think bait matters too much.

Side note, I was cleaning a fish from the same area a few years back, it had a belly full of jambalaya. I have a neighbor who had catered a function and cleaned out his pot in the canal.
