Yesterday a Lafayette Swat Officer was killed. They were assisting the Jeanerette Marshals with a hostage situation. 3 other officers were injured during the shooting. He leaves behind a wife and 5 kids. Remember them in your prayers.

UPDATE: Three officers injured, one officer killed in Jeanerette standoff

Law enforcement were trying to serve warrants, officials say. Police went into the home, and four officers were injured.

Damn, prayers to his family.

On a different note i was in Lafyette yesterday and passed by a very bad accident looked like a sherrif ran into a pickup. Front end of the sherrifs SUV was pushed into the cab and ambulance was on the scene. Never found out the outcome.
