S.B. 56, signed June 13 by Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards, will reinstate the state's so-called Second Amendment sales tax holiday, a period in which sales of firearms, ammunition and hunting supplies are exempt from the sales tax. Under the legislation, the holiday will take place in 2023 and 2024. Projected to be 9/1-9/3/23
