    I should stock my pond with Peacock Bass! Wonder if they would survive in La?
    I'm not sure if they can withstand our Winters. That would be a question for Wildlife & Fisheries, IMO.

    They may also do damage to other species, including LMB, but I'd say that would also be a question for Wildlife & Fisheries. Just like the invasive Snakeheads that hurt native populations, the Peacocks could potentially do similar damage.

    Since Louisiana doesn't have them (to the best of my knowledge) I may call Florida's Wildlife & Fisheries and ask them. Although they're an invasive species (to the best of my knowledge) Florida likely knows plenty about them since they do have Peacock Bass, I believe way down in the Panhandle. I'd also be curious how good they are to eat.

    They arent cheap. Even if they could survive, $30 ea for fingerlings. Nope
