The wife and I decided to head to the camp at Toledo Bend this past friday since we have not been all year because we just had a baby. The past 4 years we spent at least every 3rd weekend there. So it has been rough not getting any fishing in this year. While it was not the most productive weekend, it was enough to mess with. The water was HOT... 96deg at the keel, which is about 2.5' below surface temp, so surface temp was probably hotter. I decided to run lines for catfish since it was so hot. My wife went to the dock and caught a dozen or so small bream that I cut up to bait the lines with. I lost a 30-40# cat (or possibly a big gar) when it broke the leader off the float. It was taking the float completely under out of sight before it would pop up.

Here is what I ended up with: The one on the left is 20# then the 2 next to it are 9# and 8#.

Nice catch. Two weeks ago we caught a cat about the size of the second from the left in a castnet. We thought it was stuck on some branches or weeds lol.
