I was thinking today that I’m so glad I don’t have children in school anymore. I’d probably have to switch to home schooling. I also wonder who votes these people into office? Even though I don’t have school age children anymore, I’ll be watching Even the smallest elections even more critically in the future.

Wish that I had been there because when she had finished and walked away from the podium that would have probably stood up and applauded her. We need more parents and others to step forward and take a stand like did. ... Really supprised that they allowed her to speak for as long as they did without someone trying to physically escort her out of the room. My children and grandchildren are not in todays system thank goodness. ....................... drill sgt.

I argued politics with several of my Liberal Orleans Parrish teachers. It was always a respectful exchange. One of the Civics teachers picked me for one of the Closeup Foundation scholarships which was a free trip to DC for a week of meetings and activities. To this day, I am amazed that a teacher who disagreed with me so much decided to send me to Washington DC. She joked about not having to hear my mouth for a week after I returned!

I fear that the spirited debates that took place between teachers and students may be a thing of the past soon.

Wow! What a firebrand! Thanks for sharing!

This woman has great courage standing up to people responsible for the poison being fed to the children of today. Very articulate and accurate. School board positions may be "volunteers" - "donating their time" - yeah right! MANY politicos use these "volunteer" perches as springboards to city councils, state legislatures and beyond.

I hear little said about "The 1619 Project", except on conservative talk radio. I stopped using FarceBark and Twit-s_itter during the 2020 campaign. 1619 was the year the first slaves were brought to North America. The idiots that developed, promote and teach this curriculum claim that America was NOT established in 1776 as a land of FREEDOM - it was a founded to be and thrive as a SLAVE STATE in 1619. More alternative history - rewritten to foster and exploit even more discord and division in the greatest country ever to exist.

They overlook the most pertinent facts: the slave ships of 1619 were NOT U. S. ships; the land they came to was NOT the United States of America. What part of BRITISH COLONIES do they so conveniently disavow? (...and French and Dutch and...?)

    God Bless AMERICA!
