are there any? all of the ones that i've found would place the bulb/lamp up if it's clipped to the pocket and usually have it stick out too far to boot.

    any suggestions?

That's the light I have. It will go in your pocket up or down. It's a great light. I've been running the same battery since I got a few months ago. Jim's has them in stock.

I can't say enough good things about my NovaTac. It's a great little light and plenty bright. The 120T (Tactical) model has 3 brightness settings: 120,10,&.3 lumens for up to 240hrs run time.
They have 3 models the "T" (tactical), "E" (everyday), and the "P" (programmable). The tactical starts off at it's brightest with the first click and goes down with each double or triple click. The "E" does the opposite and the "P" will go to any brightness level you programed it to in whatever order.

Battery life is really good and it will accept a 4.2V rechargeable battery.

I've carried a 120T for a long while. I don't think it's as thin as the surefire because it was designed to fit in a 1" mount but it's a little shorter.

I tried it out last night, badass little light, especially for a single 123

I have the fenix p2d and it uses a single 123. On turbo mode it cranks 180 lumens. Its a pretty badass light and it costs around $50 on fenixstore.com with the cpf discount. Just another option to surefire. I love this little light.

Of course, it doesn't have a pocket clip, so just consider this me rambling :mamoru:

Wish I'd noticed this one before getting the E1L.

Spanky, I did discover one thing; if you just lightly depress the switch, instead of clicking it all the way, it will "start up" in low mode every time. So you DON'T have to cycle through low/high/low every time with the E1L.

Teddy, is the E1B like that?

The bezel-up clip arrangement is one thing that has always annoyed me about the A2.

You know, I told myself I wasn't going to buy anymore 123A lights. And I damn sure am not going to pay retail+10% at Jim's. But this E1B is certainly intriguing...

Thanks a ton guys. Ya'll are all real pals...

    .

BTW, I found a guy w/ those QIII on ebay, I'm still thinking of ordering a couple but the search for an edc replacement for my g2 is still on. :o

Steve, I wonder what your amigo McLeish wants for this gadget? It replaces the stock SureFire breakaway lanyard loop with a bezel-down clip. Shown on an L1. http://dmcleish.com/CPF/L1/index.html

AroundLSU, what kind of beam does the E1B have? More of a spot, flood, or a mix of the two?
