Join us for the monthly business meeting of the Louisiana Open Carry Awareness League (LOCAL) on November 3, 2010 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be at the Shoneys Resturant in LaPlace, La (Main St/Hwy 51 near I-10) in the meeting room.

Since I'm an officer in LOCAL I'm going to recommend the LOCAL site.
So the first stop is the LOCAL forum at http://www.laopencarry.org/index.php . Join us there for lots of discussion. There's the FAQ section there where can probably answer some questions for you and you can find a link to our trifold informational pamphlet.

Then, here on BS you can find Lacarry's sticky thread on Open Carry at- http://www.bayoushooter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5918
which covers much of what he has at his page at http://louisianacarry.org/oc/ .

Last and least is the La section at OCDO at- http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?102-Louisiana . Frankly the LOCAL forum has had more activity than the OCDO La forum section. We've been pretty active lately.
We had a good meeting tonight and got lots done. Our December meeting will be our 1 year anniversary meeting. We nominate officers and vote on them in January. We also are working on Chapter bylaws some more and getting them straightened out.
We had 3 new members drop applications and pay dues at the meeting tonight. LOCAL continues to grow and we are looking forward to 2011.
