It should be softer shooting than a G27.
I fondled one of these at least a month ago. Seems like the answer to a question nobody asked.
I didn't notice any difference over a 30SF, except for that cool S on the slide.

It's the answer for a question a High Prestige and Well Funded LE Agency asked.
The 30S is the replacement for the Kimber 1911's that the LAPD SIS unit carried as requested by the members of that unit.

I hear it's more comfortable to shoot but haven't gotten my hands around one yet.
I thought the 3rd gen SF frame on the 30 and the 4th gen 30 were the same size?I think it would be more awesome if it was a Gen 4 Glock 30 frame with the thinner Glock 36 slide.

I need the G4 mag release for my short thumbs!

No you don't you just need to practice rotating the gun in your firing hand to get to the normal
Mag release.
If he is like me he already has to do that. The tip of my shooting finger barely reaches the trigger on a Glock with no space beside the receiver but I shoot them regardless.
I prefer the Gen 4 Glocks for several reasons including the texture of the receiver.

aah! this:
but that protrudes alot= no bueno for CC....I BET they make a 30S Gen4. Theres enough people drinking the gen 4 kool aid for it to be possible and successful.
