I lived there when it wasn't even on any map. Small-ass town it was then.

Got a job offer up there. They would set me up in Mansura. Is it a good town? quiet? LIkes or Dislikes? I would be there for 9 months if I take this job. I hate to leave the family behind but I can come home every other week.

It is Mansura it is located off of La. 1 just south of Marksvilleo

I live a stones through from there. Not much going on there unless you want to butcher a few pigs and make cracklins. As said your just outside of marksville with the casino if that does anything for you. You can also go to Pookies if you want to listen to him blow smoke about guns and bows.

Well, the Walmart in nearby Marksville has one of the better sporting goods depts I've seen during hunting season, fwiw...

It's also just north of Simmesport- one of the better nightlife spots in the region...

My buddy stopped at Tractor Supply there last week to pick up a V-belt for my lawnmower that the Tractor Supply in Zachary was out of. The folks I talked to on the phone were really nice and spoke English
