Just wanted to spread the word about a new state-level club getting started. The club will serve to organize PRS-style matches at a few locations in the state. Rules regarding course of fire, scoring, and equipment guidelines can be found here:

More information about the group available on this facebook page for now, website is in the works, from what I understand. Lots more coming that I'm probably not aware of, but I wanted to spread the word.

The only one I've been to was at Prince Gun Range in Pioneer, LA. Google search should turn up something. I hear there is something in the works at LRA in Grand Cane, and maybe something down south.

cool, hopefully the will be some down south!!

I know they were asking around about potential sites at one of the new shooter classes in November. If you guys have any ideas on ranges or sites that could host an event down south please post it up or message the site. I'm sure there are a few of us here who wouldn't mind pitching in to make it happen, we'd just need a location.

I would call eymard's in cutoff. They have plenty of room for the actual shooting portion of the class, a classroom, ground level and elevated shooting positions and the range should push out to 940 yards by then. ( right now it pushes out to 825).

If you ran shooter/spotter, you can get 9 shooters firing from a bench at a time, probably 3 at a time on the platform (prone only).

in addition to the LPRC, there is also a new Southeastern Precision Rifle Club Association that will be supporting with regional events and series scoring. Check out the other "local" events coming via the SEPRCA website and facebook.

I think LPRC is associated with the SEPRCA, so if you shoot a LPRC match, your points go toward the SEPRCA points race. Could be wrong about that one though...

    Edit: It sure is:
