Made a swap...

Well, me and the gf's daddy made a little deal. I had a Glock 27 pretty much stock that just rides in the last ditch bag and he had an older Glock 17 with 5 mags that was a safe queen. Both guns were in like new shape and we have both been very happy with the deal. Somethinhg of interest was when cleaning the 17 I noticed it is a 2 pin version but is a thrid generation gun (having a railk and finger grooves). I told him about it and he called BS; seems he never noticed it only had 2 pins and he is a Glock Armorer. He said he has never heard of this, any else?

I could be wrong... I dont really know.. I bought my first glock about 2 months ago..

Nah, it wasn't like that, more he was just a little shocked he never noticed it.
Well sweet, I have an anomaly; makes the deal just a little sweeter.

FYI. My generation 2 G23 has 2 pins, no rail, and no finger grooves.

So, I have the extra pin with no rail or grooves. Does that mean I have a generation 2.5?

I bought it new in January 1994.

I guess, the serial number for mine says it was made in 1996.
