Forgive my ignorance, but doesn't it seems strange that Russia would have anything to do with Mary Landrieu? What does she have, or is involved with, that is actionable?

I mean, I could be under Russian sanctions, and never know the difference. .. I have nothing to do with the country, no russian assets to freeze, etc..

I would want to know how is she being affected? Might shed some light into some shady stuff.

She is the chair of the Energy and Commerce Committee and the chair of the Appropriations Committee's important Subcommittee on Homeland Security. I'm guessing the Energy gig is what has her in Putin's crosshairs.

Look for Mary to work to boost natural gas exports in order to punish Russia. It would lower the prices for Russian exports. Of course Mary wants to do it to get reelected.
