I posted the upper right rig a while back. You will notice the two lower WWI era rigs are missing a nice WWI era Colt 1911. Anyone know where I can get a nice one

Very nice set up. Keep an eye out at www.coltforum.com in their classified section. You might get lucky for one of those ww1 colts.

I've seen the Mills canvas holsters before, along with some of the Audley spring-lock holsters in military guise. Were they ever issue items, or were they made for private purchase?

It is listed in the Mills cataloge as a USMC holster for the 1911. It was used only briefly or on trial basis around 1914. Very rare. See picture.
