    I posted the upper right rig a while back. You will notice the two lower WWI era rigs are missing a nice WWI era Colt 1911. Anyone know where I can get a nice one

    I've seen the Mills canvas holsters before, along with some of the Audley spring-lock holsters in military guise. Were they ever issue items, or were they made for private purchase?

    It is listed in the Mills cataloge as a USMC holster for the 1911. It was used only briefly or on trial basis around 1914. Very rare. See picture.
