Daniel Defence DDV7LW or a BCM "jack"

Pros and cons of each? Have to decide by tomorrow. Putting a aimpoint PRO as optic, and not crazy about the flashlight the jack comes with, All my AR's are lead blocks, so it will be nice to have a light one.

    I'm all ears

V7LW has been discontinued. The DD V11LW is the new hotness. Have one, love it. The BCM Jack is a decent rifle with a lot of added cost for some fancy paint and Haley's name on it.

If you ever make it to Hammond, Interstate Guns has the full Daniel Defense lineup in stock as well as several other quality ARs if you want to check them out in person.

Is is pretty light? and any cons to the gun or things you'd change?

The base rifle weighs just over 6lbs. That's about as light as it gets in a free floated, full length railed factory rifle. It's good to go out the box, the only things I changed were the buttstock and grip, but only because that's personal preference based on a lot of time shooting with the Sopmod stock. I thought the factory furniture was a little weird at first, but in use is actually quite nice. Also the trigger, but again that's personal preference and I've been spoiled by Geissele. That would apply to any rifle though.

Also of note, the basic V11 is already very light, so the LW version only saves about 1oz on the barrel. In other words, it's not a deal breaker if you prefer the V11 in the MilSpec + dark earth or Tornado grey finish (LW is only available in black).

i wanted a Jack Carbine something fierce when they came out. Lucky for me, they were on serious backorder post Sandy Hook with no idea of when they'd return to BCM's lineup. I opted for a LMT LM8 instead. Just as good if not better rifle than the Jack with better standard features. That being said, given your two choices, I'd pick the DD hands down. I also have a DD Mark 18 SBR and I must say they build one hell of a weapon. You won't be disappointed
