.... Okay, you sold me... I dont know about the O.P. but I just ordered some..:)

I'm already a fan of 5.11, I have some now (barely lol) I was just wanting suggestions to look at other boots.

Ive got a pair of 5.11 ATAC side zipper boots that are about 2-1/2 years old and I love them. Zipper tab just broke on one of them yesterday, so I guess Ill have to look into replacing thsi pair(does the lifetime warranty cover that too and repair or replacement on broken zippers?)

I am going to call 5.11 today if they're open, I'll ask specifically about your problem.

Not sure if they were even open today but we got a few calls and I just got around to trying to call, I'll have to wait till Tuesday. This super-glue seems to be working just fine for the moment :D

I was using the bates but they got a gov. Contract and the price went thru the roof. Using red wings (4473 8") now they were comfortable since day one. Got the zippers for the
front for easy on and off.

I love my under armours. A friend just got the new waterproof ones, bit pricey at around $150 but he says they are great so far. I know my standard ones ($120) feel just like their tennis shoes and he said the same about these.

I have the Danner Patrol boots and the Danner Pursuit DXTVent 3" shoes.

The Pursuit DXTVent 3" are by far the most comfortable I've ever had. They were also just discontinued so if you want a pair get them while you can.

I want to try the Nike boots next...
