I have the small Bushnell cams.
You DO want to spend the money and get and IR Camera.

Look for the sales. I have two 5 mp cameras and one 8 mp camera.

They take great photos and videos and have stood up to the weather really well.

I paid about $139 for the 5mp and about $150 for the 8.

Cabela's carries them as Cabela Branded too.

I have the Cuddyback Capture IR. Im not at all impressed with it. I cant figure the dang thing out. Sometimes the batteries will last what seems forever and sometimes they eat them up fast. There have been several times I put them out and they didnt take a single picture. I ALWAYS walk in front of them before leaving and on return and it dont take my picture. Other times I have no problems. I just dont know what the deal is.
I also have some of the Primos Truth cams. So far I havent really had any issues. Im sure there are better cameras on the market but for the price these work good.

Look at the warranty for each brand, save your receipt, and make sure you fill out any warranty papers. You will have some troubles with almost any brand.

Most recently I've been farily happy with the Moultrie M-80 (great battery life, excellent nightime pictures when most of your picture occur). Only negative is the strap for attachment - I would prefer the adjustable bungee cords.
